Create a Word Picture!

Well, our blog is truly off to a wonderful start.

Here is a spot to post your most vivid, awe-inspiring word pictures!

Remember, a good writer uses colorful, interesting details to help the reader "see" what the writer is describing. Transform your "plain-Jane" language into a sparkling word picture by adding descriptive adjectives, adverbs, and phrases.

This is a place to practice making your writing come alive!

Posts Due: Wednesday, September 27.

Plain Language: You look tired.

Word Picture: The woman entered the room dragging her feet. Hunched over, she slowly collapsed in her seat. She sank her head down on her desk and we noticed that she had bags under her crusty eyes. Soon, her desk was covered in drool as she drifted off to slumber land.

Created by our entire class as an example!
